What is the mission of Global Outreach Group? Mission Statement
1. We develop Indigenous camping leaders. 2. We link resources with opportunities 3. We offer cross-cultural mission trips 4. We facilitate successful partnerships
Global Outreach Group Equips Indigenous Leaders The future of cross-cultural missions is to equip indigenous leaders to establish, grow, and maintain their own camping ministries. Westernized methodology frequently fails because cultural and social differences are misunderstood. Global Outreach Group bridges these differences. We utilize our vast network of camping-specific resources, recommend specific courses of action, and then work side-by-side with the indigenous leadership to implement new camping programs so they can administer them in their own language and in accordance with their own culture.
Global Outreach Group Is A Vital Link Between Needs And Resources We bridge this gap. We link camps in need with the resources and knowledge available. Along with this linking comes the responsibility for providing guidance, information, and encouragement—and sometimes even caution. Cross-cultural ministry is significantly different from “business as usual.” Many mistakes can be avoided, and a wise course of action can be outlined that will enrich the ministry experience for both.
Global Outreach Group Spearheads Relationships Worldwide Global Outreach Group will bring Christian camping leaders into new relationships both at home and abroad. We will network and coordinate with the Christian Camping International (CCI) Forum, other CCI Associations, churches, missions, agencies, ministries, and individuals from other countries. Our aim is to promote harmony and a spirit of cooperation among those involved in Christian camping. |
