Dan DeGroat received his BS from Middle Tennessee State University, and worked as a park ranger before entering Christian camping ministry full time in 1978. Since then he has directed three different camps in Tennessee and Texas. Dan served five years as president of the Christian Camp & Conference Association (CCCA) TN/KY Section, and on the CCCA Board of Directors. In 1996 he and his family moved to Russia where they lived for a year and a half. In 1997 Dan began as Director of Russia/CIS Ministries for CCCA. He was elected to, and currently serves on, the Executive Committee of the Christian Camping International oversight body, the International Forum. Dan has made extended trips to more than twenty countries, and currently spends about twenty percent of his time traveling. Dan and Becky have three children—Michael, Sarah, and Ryken—the youngest of whom was adopted from an orphanage in the Russia Far East.

Stan Gillespie was raised in a camping ministry in Alaska . After his military service and Bible College time, he worked with delinquent youth and was Minister of Education in a church in Oregon. In 1973 he moved to Alaska to take the leadership of Victory Bible Camps. During the Gillespie's thirty years in that position, the ministry expanded to take on multiple camps in two locations and became Victory Ministries of Alaska , of which Stan was CEO. The ministry also reached out to several regions in the Russian Far East for camping and English Language Training. During his tenure Stan served on the Board of Directors, Regional Representative, and three terms as Alaska Section President for CCCA/USA. Stan also served on the Regional Board of Directors, was an Area Representative, and Regional Chairman of the Ethics Committee for American Camping Association. In his ministry Stan served in leadership with a Mission Agency in Alaska as well as doing consulting work for camps and agencies involved in camping.
Ginny Gillespie served as Victory Ministries' Accountant and financial officer for those thirty years; she also served in numerous other capacities to assist the ministry, and chaired a number of committees. Ginny has also served three separate terms as a CCCA/Alaska section officer. Ginny has been to Russia , assisting in the work of Victory Ministries , Inc.
In 2004, the Gillespies resigned their positions with Victory Ministries to move into a worldwide ministry with Global Outreach Group.

Adam Carlsen
Adam Carlsen grew up as a “Camp Kid”, in and around the Cannon Beach Conference Center in Cannon Beach, Oregon on the coast. He attended George Fox University in Portland, Oregon and received a Bachelor Degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Writing/Literature. After college, he lived for almost 6 months in New Zealand traveling, fishing, and serving at a Christian Camp in that country.
After New Zealand, he settled in Cannon Beach, and began his first Management position in the Hotel/Hospitality industry. A year later, he and a business partner started a Health/Fitness business that he helped grow and run for almost 1.5 years. Around that time, he and a friend wrote their first of 2 coffee-table books about the Oregon Coast, and also started a small publishing company – Oceanrider, Inc.
Since 2003, he has worked primarily in the Hotel industry and for the City of Cannon Beach in Management and Marketing/Promotion. He is now serving in Costa Rica with Campamento Roblealto and CCI America Latina.

Wayne Chapman has been volunteering with GOG, off and on since 2008 in various capacities. Wayne comes from a background as a missionary kid in Bolivia, where his parents served with the Friends Church. Then Wayne, his wife Bev and eventually three children served in Peru and Bolivia, also with the Friends Church. Then after several years as a Realtor, Wayne and Bev have since been involved in Christian Camping in the Pacific Northwest.
